Michael,
I agree, and no he isn't - but someone could. I would if I was local, but I'm not. It would cost as much for postage as it would cost to make and that's not cost effective IMHO, but I am thinking about what is involved to have them made locally. It's not a biggie, but would need to be made in batches I believe. I have a mate who has a punch, I will see what the costs are and let everyone know.

I think I get it. Sounds like fancy stuff requiring some degree of refined technology and precision manufacturing not generally available to the shady tree mechanic in the back woods of Maine. Is this something he is proposing to have made as a batch order for his subscribers?

Michael,
Well it's a 2 piece (exhaust header) flange( front piece about 3/16" and backpiece about 3/16"), the inside part has a small tapered flange of the hole and the exhaust tube has a matching expanded end which fits over the small taper ( hard to explain, but obvious when seen) There is an outside ( exhaust header) flange which clamps everything together ( no welding) - excellent idea. The only problem is that the inside exhaust header flange may need to be stamped to get tapered flange around the hole symmetrical, maybe the outside one as well. I will see what the costs are.
Hope that helps!
