I am flying a modified AVID HEAVY HAULER with a 100hp SOOB(there is no affordable rotary in that class). My solution is to build my own one-rotor, which I am doing right now. The engine has 5hrs on the test stand. I am in the process of adding the peripheral port now and refinement modifications. The plans are to fly the engine in the AVID in a year. Richard Sohn Welcome Richard. I'm REALLY glad to see you here, since I have a keen interest in single rotor engines myself. I've always thought they would make a perfect engine for that 100 HP class of planes, and have recently decided that my next plane would be powered by a single rotor engine, or maybe two in a push/pull twin type design. I'd love to hear any details you can share, such as weight, power, etc. Is that a Rotax gearbox? Man, why didn't I think of that. It just looks fantastic. Aren't you located near Defuniak Springs? I'm in Navarre, and would love to see the engine sometime. Cheers, Rusty Turbo 13B RV-3 ------=_NextPart_000_0038_01C3A636.313F9080 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Message
