What is injector staging? Are all the injectors
not
working below a certain rpm, then above the staging
point all 4
injectors start operating?

Scott,
You're pretty much
correct. Mazda has always done this with the rotary. They run the
two "primary" injectors all the time, and turn the "secondary" injectors on when
needed. I'm not 100% sure how Mazda's computer decides when to turn them
on, but I know that Tracy's computer uses manifold pressure as the
criteria. That MAP setting is adjustable btw.
