Hi Greg,
Years ago I broke a tap in a very expensive aluminum piece at a machine shop.  They had me sand blast it out.  It took a long time but worked.  The idea was that the tap, being harder, would wear faster than the aluminum. 'For what it's worth if you try everything else -

I'm here, just p.....ed because I broke a tap off in my new 20B block, cleaning out the bolt holes, arggggh.  Trying to figure out how to get it out.......
