Larry,
Is 180 hp your goal? you could also go to Peripheral port and get 200 hp easy. Although this is slightly more complex than a street port it makes the manifold simpler for aviation use. The stock standard manifold is too high for Aviation purposes - still it has been successfully cut down, but I don't know how much that affects the inlet tuning and therefore max hp.

Are you planning on FI - if so Tracy's EFI is very good as well as his other EMS. Tracy's PSRU is used by many on this list and has proven successful and reliable ( suggest 2.85:1 ratio).

Jerry on this and PL's list does the engine mounts frames and Al sumps, he's very good!.
There are others who do aluminium welding, including radiators.
Larry on PL's list is developing a new Bellhousing - he's also very good.
I would suggest that there is little that will hold you back.
George ( down under)

Hello,

I am currently building a Cozy MK IV and I am planning to rebuild a 1986 Mazda Rotary 13b. I have purchased Tracy Crook's Book and Bruce Turrentine CD and both book and CD have a lot of good information. However, there is still a lot I need to learn which are not discussed in these materials. In general, I am thinking I will do a street port in order to get the engine to 180 hp. My Question is does anyone have this configuration in a Cozy and am I on the right track?

Note: I have purchased new Rotor Housings and other parts, so my investment is growing.  I thinking I could sell the engine if this is not a good Idea. Also, I could use suggestions as to where to get more information on installation of this engine in an aircraft.

Thank you in advance.

Larry Rasmussen
