I have installed a master contactor next to battery like Piper and Cessna used for years, in case of fire, one needs a way to quick disconnect the power quickly, IMHO.  An engine failure is serious business, but add a fire and things are critical.  JohnD

That's what I did... Flight Critical bus is always hot, although I did add a 60 amp fuse back near the battery.

Do you run a master switch, or are the Circuit breakers the switch. I have a master switch, but its bothering me that if that ONE switch fails, it all fails. I I think I'll skip the master switch for flight critical.
