Jason,
   Do you have exhaust temp gauge and if so have you tried using it
to monitor "Lean of Peak" such as Tracy and others have done ??
 
   I believe that Tracy aggressively leans 100 degrees + at altitude
in cruise if I remember correctly..........Jump in here Tracy with the
correct numbers that you use......

For the leaning question, I leaned to get two green bars (14.7?) on my A/F gauge. This would give me around 6400 rpm.
