I started my RV-7 project about 2 1/2 years ago, and from the beginning = I learned of all these options for powerplants that were never available = to me before in the certified world. I was immediately drawn to the = rotary, having owned three RX-7's in the past. Then I found out that a = new (at the time) friend of mine was putting a Renesis in his RV-7 about = 30 miles north of me. His name is Ben Schneider. I know he's on here = from time to time, and he lives near Pontiac, IL, while I am in Normal, = IL. Anyway, I joined this list not too long after that, and was = enthralled with what you all were doing with these engines. As time = went by, I floated around from list to list (everything from turbines to = Subaru's to the 'ol clanky Lycoming), and as I am nearing the time to = order my finish kit (fuselage is about 90% complete), I find myself with = a renewed interest in the rotary, and the news of the forthcoming 16X. As I said, I've owned three RX-7's, a 12A, and two 13B's, and I = currently have a 13B in my garage that I completely tore apart to learn = more about it. With that, I just wanted to say hello again. I've met a = few of you at the larger fly-ins, and was impressed with the passion = rotorheads have toward their engines and airplanes. So, "Hello", again!
