Cary,
I had one of the last batch of side mount brackets. It was 1/4" steel and not aluminum. My system was dual V belts and no slipping, unlike my serpentine belt that used to slip at 4000 rpm and above. I was noticing lots of black rubber dust around the front of the engine. The double V belts solved all that.

Hi Scott;
I have one of these. They are nice and facilitate freeing up a lot space above the engine. But...
I'm curious about long terms problems.
For starters, the vbelt does not rap much around the main (driving) pulley. It probably needs an idler pulley
to avoid slipping/premature wear (even with an underdrive main pulley).
Also, the bracket is 1/8-3/16th?(IIRC) aluminum and surprisingly flexible. It does not surprise me that
some have broken.
Cheers
Cary
FYI...
I was checking some links I had this morning and noticed the link to Pineapple Racing's site for the alternator relocation bracket was dead...
Come to find out that had stopped making the relocation bracket...
