Greetings,
I'm still in the middle of
my cooling tests, and will plan to make a few flights this weekend. I've
removed my thermostat again, so I can see what the real temp is, without
having it artificially set to 180 as it has been. I've already closed
up one cowl air exit, and will also plan to choke down the inlet some this
weekend. The question I have is regarding the OAT.
Since it's getting cooler
now, I'm going to have to make some sort of estimate about worst case
cooling. Say I want to size my system for no more than 200 F on
climbout, when the OAT is 100 F. If it's 70 F OAT tomorrow, can I
shoot for 170 F water temp, and be in the ballpark of what I'm shooting
for?
Thanks,
Rusty
PS- speaking of cooling
(sorry), where's Tommy?
