Too bad, Dave, but, you can get that type of reaction. I usually refer to my project as "an - off -road vehicle" which seems to satisfy folks like that. But, once you say "aircraft", some (but, not all) get goosey.

The guy spoke to me once on the phone. I was open and honest and told him what it was for (aviation) on a Mazda rotary.. He never returned my repeated calls nor email again.
