The advantage out of a 50/50 mix is that it will boil at a higher temp 
and freeze at a lower temp than any other ratio of water/antifreeze. Ask 
any high school chemistry teacher.  Improved cooling is not typically 
one of the benefits seen, if all other variables are kept equal.
