First twist the contrast control to both ends of travel and watch the display. If still no joy, check wiring. You do have the contrast control installed, right? Only the LCD version uses this control and yours is an LCD. Normally the contrast control will be turned fully CCW unless the temperature is really hot or really cold. PS: Don't be bashful about using the mixture control on the EC2. Turning it is the fastest way to get an education on how the engine reacts to mixture changes. Every pilot NEEDS this education on an experimental engine. If it runs better after you turn the pumps off, it's telling you what you thought : (TOO RICH).
