Jim,
I'm a Registered Investment Advisor and have a life insurance license. Rolling the cash from one policy to a "new and better" policy generates a lot of easy income for a life agent.

FYI, there are life insurance policies available for private pilots. Rates are higher than standard and are based on several factors such as hours flown per year.

When I was very young my great aunt took out a life insurance policy on both me and my sister. When my great aunt passed away my Dad took over the payments and when I turned 18 he turned over the payments to me. Over the years the insurance agent would come calling every few years to take the existing policy and roll the cash value into a new and better policy.
The last time he came I mentioned that I recently became a pilot. At that point he said that he could no longer sell me insurance and I have not heard from him since.
I wonder why?
Jim
