Chris Barber and I used the Mistral intake. We haven't gotten to engine start yet, primarily due to me having to step back from the project time wise. Chris is in the process of taking over and doing wiring of the essentials currently.
The intake is beautiful. Elegant. And equal in cost to what it would have cost IN THE END to have one made ourselves. I had already spent several hundred $$$ trying just that. Come with a Throttle Body built in. Has several threaded ports for whatever you need to put in the intake stream.
Tech support is minimal, and instructions are non-existent, (for the intake "a-la-carte")... but keep in mind, Mistral is not in the business of selling intakes.. they are in the business of selling complete engines and pursuing certification.. Therefore, there is no separate documentation included on the installation process of the intake alone. Also, they do not provide plugs for the primary injectors on the center iron. In their design, these ports end up with oil injectors of their own design. If you want those injectors (in addition to using the two injectors on the rotor housing), ask for an invoice and price for that as well.
Do not construe the above as negative feedback, just objective feedback. I wish I had bought their intake from day 1, and not screwed around with trying to roll my own.

Is anyone using Mistrals intake manifold?
This whole manifold thing is making me F%#$@ CRAZY.
Honestly I'm haveing a hard time with this thing, does anyone have any clue as to where I can find a manifold that will bolt to my motor that doesn't cost $1200. I swear!! if it's the last thing I do I'm going to find a way to produce a bolt up manifold.
How are we coming off of the oval primary port into a 2.5 or 2.0in tube?
there must be a way to machine a plate that I can interchange different radius tubes. I'll draw it in CAD of what I think might work. Think about the machining process if you have any ideas on how this might work.
