I have a ram air inlet, I opted to go down and under into the "armpit" instead of on top. My intake tubes go straight out from the engine then downward into the right wing root area, where the plenum is located. Similar to Joe Hull's photos but I don't have an air filter.
I do get a very small noticable ram effect in cruise 160 knots.
Patrick Panzera took this photo that appeared in Contact magazine. The airflow sensor and throttle body are located in the "pod".

what I'm trying to do is figure out how to set up my racing beat intake without the intake tubes going over the top. the (bearded one) says it will work but is only for engines in the 10,000 RPM range and it's not good for 6500 -7000. does anyone. have any other suggestions. I will use four injectors but what I want to do is keep the profile as low as possible.
BTW this is for a Long Ez I'm thinking forced air injection
