Also, I show Tom Jordan as having a flying Long EZ (supercharged, but few other details - don't know where I got the info, Maybe a Contact! article?).  There are 10 other EZ projects on the rotary roster, including a veri EZ.

That's history Ok, Kelly.

The first rotary powered aircraft I saw (other than my own) was Tracy Crook in 2000 at the Thomasville, GA Fly in.  I had know/talked/emailed with Tracy since 1995 but finally got to meet him and his lovely wife, Laura for the first time. My, how the number of rotary powered aircraft have grown since then, I've seen as many as seven at one time!

Group,
Just for everyones information the first Rotary powered a/c I saw in person and also
the first Rotary powered flight I had was in Ron Gowan's Long EZ during a canard
flyin in the mid 90's here in Oklahoma.........Ron's 13B was carburated with a HA-6
sidedraft carb used on 0-320 and 0-360 lycomings on Beech Musketeers at that time !!

Boy, is my face red, Perry.  My only excuse is your long EZ just didn't look like a "normal" long EZ.  For most of those 8 years, it had this "thing" affixed to the rear {:>).

My apologies for an embarrassing "senior moment" - you must stop lurking so much in order that my memory cells are get recharged more frequently.

By the way, saw Butch at Sun & Fun for a few minutes -he  looked a bit stressed and overworked, ridden hard and put away wet.  But, he has supposedly retired from that stressful "business" and hopefully will get his battery recharged.

"I do not recall anyone with a rotary in a Long EZ since Al Gowan, so will be very interested in hearing about your success when you get it airborne."

Damn it Ed, how did you discover my hoax? Now you've exposed it to the whole world. So I have to come clean: I have not flown a rotary powered Long-EZ for the last 8 years.

My Long-EZ has a cold-fusion power cell fuel source, providing heat energy to a sterling engine to drive the propeller.
