I've managed to make spam pretty much a non-issue here on FlyRotary... . the list only accepts messages from subscribed email addresses, so anyone intent on spamming us would first have to subscribe, something spammers just don't do.  Could they do it if they subscribed with a phony email address??  Sure, but only for 5 messages... since they wouldn't be responding to the bounce warnings that the listserver sends it would automatically remove their email address after 5 unresponded-to warnings.  Pretty slick system,. protects us all without my having to become a censor... er, uh, moderator.

BTW, I checked my mail at the hotel about 7:30 this morning, and when I got
home at 3pm, there were 47 flyrotary messages!!! I thought someone must
have spammed the list, but they all appear real.
