Thanks for the comments.  I would have to point out that we use stainless on our exhaust, and it doesn't seem to have a problem with the vibration from the engine.  I do imagine that I may require a thicker, heavier piece of stainless to equal the strength of the 4130, but I can live with that.  One thing stainless has over 4130 seems to be common availability in "angle" form.  
 
And no Thomas, there ain't no bling factor here :-)  I just hate rust, and there's no shortage of it here.  I often tell people that you could give a team of scientists $100k, and tell them to develop the most ideal environment for rust formation.  At the end of their study, they would hand you a picture of my hanger :-)
