Sigh!  Yep, no question you are correct, John.  But you wouldn't believe the 
effort in making that board/buttons/display fit a 2 1/4" constraint - as Mr. 
Ford was reputed to have said .."... You can have it any color you want, as 
long as its black" {:>).

Seriously, I have only steam gauges so was somewhat constrained by my rather 
antiquated instrument panel - 10 years ago (how fast time flies) there was 
almost nothing (that I could afford) that would give a glass instrument 
panel.

But, perhaps I should insure that the front of the display could be mounted 
to about anything a person wants.  Four screw mounts should take care of 
that.

Thanks for reminding me of the current trend.
