PS- congrats Tracy!!!
PPS- Now get back to work on my EM-2 :-)
Well, it is moving forward. I gave
it it's first cross country flight test to SERFI & back and really
liked it. Having a real time true airspeed display was even more useful
than I thought. Was able to calibrate it to the existing oil temp
& oil pressure senders on-the-fly rather than replace them with the
VDO parts it was originally calibrated for. Only disapointment was
that with the sun behind and shinning full strength on the display it would
wash out with the light tint filter I had installed. Bubble canopies
have their drawbacks. I held up a darker tint filter in front and it
helped a lot. The suction cup sun screen (like window
screen) that I use in the cockpit also made it
easily readable.
Tracy , (goofing) off to
Copperstate on
Wednesday.
