Hi Greg,
I have a Performance Propeller Prop wood with the
dimensions of 74" diameter and 88" pitch. I started out with a 76"
diameter but I wanted to pick up another 200 rpm static and had them trim 2"
off. However, with the Renesis producing a bit more HP, you may want
to try a 76" diameter. This is the second prop I have had from Performance
Propellers and am very pleased with it. The take off and climb was greatly
enhanced with the 2.85 gearbox and this prop over my old 2.17 and 68x72"
prop. Top speed increased slightly as well.
There are other good prop makers - just pick one with a
good reputation. Warning - some of the more popular prop makers have lead
time of close to a year. So plan ahead.
Here is the URL to their web page, you can see a number of
photos of their product

Subject: [FlyRotary] Prop
recommendations
G'day all, my RV8 with Renesis motor is getting to the point where I
need a prop selection. I prefer a 2 blade prop for efficiency and fixed
pitch for cost, but I'm not steadfast of this. Any recommendations?
Aircraft specs are: RV8, Renesis motor, EC2/EM2, RD-1C
Sam James rotary cowl.
Thanks Greg
