Thanks to everyone who answered the first round of questions.  Next up is fuel consumption.

Do any of the 20B experts in the group have fuel consumption numbers?  Are there any gallons per hour per horse power comparisons available?  It’s my last big concern about using a rotary.

You can go to my website and find some limited dynamometer data on fuel consumption for my 20B.  http://members.cox.net/alg3/Dynamometer%20test%20report.htm

Only did one leaned run, and got BSFC of 0.49 lb/hp-hr.  WOT at 5100 rpm (2350 prop), with max power mixture (typical takeoff) we measured 0.52.  IMHO, you’d be hard pressed to get that with a Lyc.

If you go to the ‘Back to Airplane link at the bottom of the page, you can chose other links for engine info, including a video with sound.

Fuel burn on the plane is not accurately calibrated yet, but in-flight with my Velocity I see about 13-14 gph at 160 KIAS, and this is NOT leaned.
