Thread-index: AcbAMju32PsPUtkOTaOo3xyKQVXScgAcTDJg From: "Mark R Steitle" To: "Rotary motors in aircraft" David, First, for the record, I'm not yet flying. But I do have about 11 hours on the Hobbs. I'm monitoring my CHT's on my 20B with thermocouples glued into small holes drilled into the webs near each spark plug. The holes go all the way down to where they just barely touch the steel liners. I believe this method will provide the most reliable CHT readings, negating most of the cooling effect of the EG. I am currently using the fourth TC to monitor the gearbox temps. I left the TC lead longer than necessary so I can relocate it to monitor whatever I want in the future. =20 Mark S.
