I'm interested in any solutions you derive... we have a dynon too, and I
would be interested in data logging as well..

Dave

First, a thousand thanks to Joe Hull, who has taught me how to record a macro in Excel to do what I needed to do.  I'm sure there's a dozen other ways, but this suits my purposes just dandy for now.  I now have the ability to record serial data from the Dynon EMS to SD memory cards, then convert the data to a usable Excel spreadsheet.

The Dynon D180 has two separate ports for EMS and EFIS data.  The Antilog RS232 recorder ( http://www.zen30649.zen.co.uk/product_antilog.html ) will capture two channels at once, so the next step is to make a custom cable to access both ports, and do another macro.

Dave, you've no doubt seen me whining about datalogging on the Dynon forum.  At least Tracy can feel better knowing that he's not the only one being harassed :-)   If you have any specific questions about the Antilog device, ask away.  My datalogging solution ain't the slickest, but it does look like it will work.

Cheers,
Rusty

PS, did anyone hear for sure that Tracy made it safely to OshCash?  Is anyone else flying there, or just Tracy?
