Joe, if you did not install the 1/2" spacer to lengthen the oil pick up, it could be happening? I did the spacer and also cut the dipstick tube to compensate for the engine being 1/2" further up from the oil pan

Not sure how that would be any more possible with my setup than with anyone else’s. The oil level on my dipstick says “F” and that is relative to the top of the engine – not the bottom of the pan – so, the engine/pickup doesn’t know any different. If anything I’m carrying more oil than a regular setup because the “well” of the oil pan is lower and it takes more oil to fill the broad upper area of the pan than the “well”. So under high suction I have a bigger reserve in the broad area of the pan than a normal, non-sandwich mount setup.
It takes 7qts to fill the engine and oil cooler. Is that what other people are seeing?
