Not sure how that would be any more
possible with my setup than with anyone else’s. The oil level on my
dipstick says “F” and that is relative to the top of the engine –
not the bottom of the pan – so, the engine/pickup doesn’t know any
different. If anything I’m carrying more oil than a regular setup because
the “well” of the oil pan is lower and it takes more oil to fill
the broad upper area of the pan than the “well”. So under high
suction I have a bigger reserve in the broad area of the pan than a normal,
non-sandwich mount setup.
It takes 7qts to fill the engine and oil
cooler. Is that what other people are seeing?
