I had used too much sealant. I also had used the wrong filter. My setup does have a oil pressure alarm, which sounded while about 15 miles out from our airport. My oil filter is (was) actually a fuel filter screen from Earls, which was easily stopped up with excess sealant, and did restrict the flow. The alarm went off when I reduced throttle to land (after I had the runway made for certain), and came back on when I throttled up for taxi. I did check all the internal parts, and your beautiful design still looks brand new. I used #2 Permatex for reassembly, so I know it will be hard to get apart the next time.
