I used 3 layers of 8 oz cloth and they are more than strong enough to resist the 2" Hg pressure (max @ 225 mph) imposed on them.

I have the 8.9 oz. e glass cloth, how many layers of this material are you fellows using on the radiators and the oil cooler diffusers.  Having never worked with fiber glass until last week, I'm mostly learning how to redo things up to this point.  A fellow donated a cowl for the Tailwind and I have been reworking it to clear the oil cooler and adding on the rear because of a 2 1/2" prop extension needed to get the evaporators in place.  Thank you.  JohnD
