Did you mean reach, or was that a really clever play on words?

I've seen a threshold rpm that it wont go above, but not a reduction of rpm
with increased throttle beyond that threshold, but then I've never gone
above 48, and usually use 46 for take-off.  I seem to remember a limit of
some sort in the EC2 at 50 MAP. That's about as high as you want to go
anyway.

Not necessarily. It all depends on the distance it takes you to reach
take-off speed. If you can reach 70 kts by 1500 feet, then the prop may be
perfect at cruise. Take it on the runway, Buly, and let us know! Just don't
pull up to you get the DAR in. :)

I'm not surprised that you get 50 MAP with the wastegate removed. I've been
flying with it fully open. Closing it doesn't seem to make much difference.
