Since we had sponsorship and results were demanded, (as opposed to requested), we never cleaned plugs. We would open a new box of NGK's at the start of the weekend and gap them all. If a plug looked even questionable we would replace it with a brand new one. Several of the team members kept several cars and personal motorcycles in fairly fresh plugs from the takeouts though.
