The heat shrink clamps are Gates  Powergrip parts and were designed specifically for this purpose. Available from McMaster Carr.

I'm convinced they are the optimum solution for hose clamp reliability.   Only down side is that they are not reusable.   I carry some conventional SS clamps in the event I need to do some hose removal in the field.

I'm sure Tracy researched this "shrink connector" it looks like a wider clamping area than a typical "screw" clamp, is it special material or shrink tubing?

"Shrink connectors"?  What is this I hear about 'shrink connectors'?

This is by far the hardest lesson about freedom. It goes against
instinct, and morality, to just sit back and watch people make
mistakes. We want to help them, which means control them and their
decisions, but in doing so we actually hurt them (and ourselves)."
