My dad showed me how to etch my own circuit boards when I was a kid - piece of cake. draw the to be left electrical traces with a permanent marker onto the raw copper clad circuit board. Then toss that into the iron3 sulf...somthing solution and wait until the exposed copper is dessolved, stirr occasionally. then rinse it off clean with acetone and drill holes for the legs for the components.
