I don't know what was the personal experience of those who
oppose PL's participation in a possible RPFA.
Probably wasn't a nice experience, even less so involving
your hobby/passion - no need to be put off in your hard earned free
time.....
BUT, consider,
a) whatever his personal traits, he does have a wealth of
experience and knowledge in lots of different areas.
b) this RPFA would NOT be his personal newsletter ( where
he is king, like it or not...), so he would have to "calm" down and be
objective about things or risk ridicule, ...again.
At this stage, I find it not very constructive
to eliminate certain people because of some past disagreements, however
unpleasant that was.
Let him in (....if he wants to participate in the first
place), lets see what he does and if he doesn't show professionalism and
objectivity you always can "release" him from his "duty" to the
Association.
To close out people before even starting seems rather
subjective and closed minded, .....just what some people here accuse PL to
be.
Don't use the same medicine or you are no better yourself
( ...not always easy to do, but it works)
Remember the cause and goal of this Association to be -
get all the knowledge there is, don't leave out a bit because of personal
feelings.
"Don't get caught in the quarrel, be above
it!"

On a relative note, Jim S. voiced some concerns
about PL's involvement in Paul's accident investigation... without finding
and quoting his exact words, I second that concern. The chances of PL
providing an objective and unbiased report on a plugs-up engine
installation are about as great as us waking up to the liberals having
something nice to say about George Bush tomorrow
morning.
Agreed. I'd go
further.
I would not wish to be involved in, or a member
of, any organization in which he had ANY authority.
By the way, in case you were inferring this - Paul's
installation was not plugs up.
