Guys,
My tech advisor is composite and auto conversion qualified! He didn't have Madza experience, only Sube and seen others. But he has an open mind and seen flying auto applications already. Once I'm flying I will be repaying my advisor by becoming one myself!
My suggestion is for us to get together and view as many flying conversions and determine what is successful! I know that just taking a pic of Tracy's plane at a fly-in doesn't cut it! We need to be able to inspect the small details with all cowls removed. Then we need not be confrontational, but supportive with alternatives for those we inspect! Example: Tracy uses rubber hoses for radiators, others use braided aviation hoses. While those that use aviation hoses have valid reasoning for their choices, they need not be critical of other working solutions. We would just need to point out that this application will require more care on inspections given to the hoses.

The EAA already has a tech advisor system in place and running quite well. Perhaps there could be a few that officially specialize in auto-engines or rotary engines. This would be the simplest solution.
