Dave,
You have it right. The Powersport unit uses a custom machined flywheel, (with the starter gear) it's pocketed on one side and retains the material on the other to form the balance weight. The weight is integral with the flywheel. It is just like the Std transmission car in that there is no separate weight. The advantage of this system; fewer parts. Disadvantage; you would normally have to stay with one weight rotor or have the entire system re-balanced. They make a nice unit aside from the price.
