Rusty, I believe the unit was the micro tech. Made by DSS? search for prop balancer on Google it will be one of the first hits. That price was for the single sensor version with enough cables to be able to operate properly. Absolutely no frills.

The unit DSS sells is called a MicroVib, and the kit was quoted as $5780.  I'm not sure what could be taken out of the kit and still have it work, but maybe I'll look back at the site and see.  They actually never replied to my email, but I called them yesterday afternoon.  They didn't seem all that interested, or helpful either.  ACES on the other hand has been great. 
 
Still hoping for a cheaper solution, but we'll see what I come up with.  Maybe Finn special :-)
