Kelly,
I found a local Company who does rolled threads, but will only
do a minimum of 16, I said I can handle that - but I don't know whether to cut
down 12 A bolts, cut down 13B bolts or get some high tensile rod and make new
ones.
Any suggestions on the best way to go?
Someone suggested the 13B's are necked-down, I will have to check on
this.
There is also the suggestion of threading both ends, in a stud
configuration. This may not be necessary if using 12A bolts, but does allow
for some variation in length
George,
Bill is correct of course about rolled
threads being the way to go but here
in the middle of the USA availability and
affordability are a problem.......I do
not have my 12A bolts in front of me at the moment and
will have to double
check if the threads are proud of the bolt diameter on
the ones I have.........

Kelly,
If someone can find how long the bolts need to be I can see if we
can find a source to mail order them. ARP fasteners are a high quality
automotive source. WWW.ARP-bolts.com
We should check to see if they will make studs to replace the 13B
bolts.
