Very good news, indeed. Glad to hear you will be back to flying and giving us those great performance numbers.  Paul Conner

Subject: [FlyRotary] Duct Finished - Engine Great!

Finished constructing the new duct today.  Still need to make it Pretty but the fabrication is completed.  To help the fiberglass set to the cowl opening, I placed it on the radiator and fired up the engine.  After warm-up I goosed it to wide open throttle and achieved 6200 rpm static - need to reprogram the upper end of the EC2 as I ran out of mixture as I hit 6200.  So I think there may be a couple more RPM in the engine as it continues to break-in.

If breaking it in using synthetic oil rather than the traditional mineral oil is causing any problem the engine doesn't appear to know it yet.

So - very please with that development and will be glad to install the new duct "permanently" tomorrow and go flying.
