Hi, Wendell....I don't see why you couldn't drill
and tap the cast iron manifold for EGT probes. Please, someone correct me
if I am wrong. Mine is in the first one inch of the short exhaust
pipe. Of course, that gives only one EGT reading, so you will only know if
one of the rotors stops producing power, not which one is having a problem. If
you install two probes, you would probably have a better indicator of engine
running conditions, etc. Paul Conner

I am seriously thinking about the same exhaust
setup, ran my enginge test in the barn and it didn't seem any louder
than a muffler less Lyc to me also.
Can you drill and tap the cast iron manifold for
EGTs?
