What size wire did you use, if your batteries were > up > front, for the starter? Did you route 2 pairs for two busses? > Ignition, > fuel on one bus starter on the other? Thanks for any help I have two batteries - one up front - one on spar. They are connected to a common bus - BUT through diodes so they are isolated from each other. I also installed 2 alternators and each alternator is dedicated to only one battery (I didn't want to try to get into isolating alternators and batteries in one charging circuit). Cable from alternators to batteries is #4, cables from batteries to main bus is #2, cable on main bus from front to back is also #2. My philosophy was to keep it simple - i.e. one bus with redundant, isolated feeds to that bus. I have a combined battery, alternator, ammeter gage/monitor that has alarm levels for 2 batteries and 2 alternators. Then I also have the EM-2 with its alarm level for bus voltage as a backup.
