The BD-5 didn't have a CVT. It did have an offset drive that redefined
harmonic vibration problems though. Google BD-5 and Harmonic vibration and you
wiill get a paper on vibration about the driveshaft problems they were having.

Possible correction, in the article they said that they considered the
snowmobile trans but it was way too heavy and didn't use it.
