Call me crazy, but mine has always read the same as shutdown (ambient) when I go to WOT.  My pickup is in the top of the stock lower half of the manifold.  I have always taken this to mean no measurable loss through the 3-inch scat tube and large K & N filter.
 
Thanks Bill.  No, that's not crazy at all.  In fact, that's what it's supposed to do. 
 
I would still like to hear some other folks confirm this, but I think I'm destined to go to intake number... (lost count) eventually to try to regain this lost power.  The good news is that I don't need to be in any hurry, and can forget about the filter for now.  I'll just tell myself that I will incorporate that into the new intake design.  The downside is getting keyboard whipped by Leon in the mean time :-)
