Well, the decision has been made.  Thanks in part to the wife's continued interest in my warm body on  cold winter nights, the decision has been made to purchase new rotors and rotor housings.  $$ but apparently I am worth it {:>)

Hi Ed,

I agree that new parts are a comfort, but let me mention something (evil) that you've probably already thought about.  New rotor housings, and new rotors will likely run around 2400 total, plus the $1000 for a master rebuild kit.  That $3400 would go a long way toward a new Renesis engine.  Unfortunately, the mods to install it couldn't be done at the remote airport.

What are the chances of borrowing an engine to fly home?  How about Tracy's old engine? That would be perfect!   Heck, he might even sell you his old engine (assuming he still has it).

Good luck,
Rusty (John doesn't seem to be using his engine <g>)
