Dave, I learned "all I know" about hoses at the local hose &
hydraulics shop. They'll sell you the AN fittings and the hoses plus
recommend what to use for oil / coolant etc. Also they will make up a hose
for you while you wait - e.g. 18 inch 1/4 ID braided Teflon with crimped AN
-4 on one end and right angle -3 on the other, etc. etc. If you tell them
you're going to be a regular customer they'll educate you happily - at
least mine did. Got to know those guys really well - gave them a lot of
money too :( John
Good advice John, One point of difficulty is that most hydraulics shops
will stop making the hose in mid crimp and throw it away if you say "airplane".
Many aren't weenies but feel them out first. I always tell them it's for an "off
- road racer" at first.
