I also made essential those
points in my response the Rules of Thumb.
I’ll admit to not
thoroughly reading all the posts lately. Busy
times.
Also remember that if your installation
is not exactly like the one you may be borrowing ideas from, then yours
is a different installation and the variable values may not be the same, the
interaction and/or cumulative effect may not be the same, and therefore your
results may not be the same.
This is a key
point. Rules of thumb are just that; an approximation of the ballpark
you should be in. Every installation is different. Best to do the
analysis, and some testing (preferably before the first flight if you
can).
BTW; ED – I admire
the intelligence, thoroughness, and patience shown in your responses on this
forum. A service to all of us. Look forward to meeting you when I
get this bird flying.

Thanks,

Appreciate the
comment, means a lot coming from someone who's opinion I respect. Yes,
it takes a bit of time - as you know to share what we know. Even
where hard knowledge is lacking, I think discussions can help clarify our
knowledge or lack thereof - although, I will admit they can sometimes get down
in the weeds a bit.
That would be
great, Al. I appreciate your contributions, comments and
frankness. You are recognized as valuable contributor and taking to task
those comments that are inaccurate, overgeneralized, etc.
I think we have a
good list with folks focused on trying to clarify, help and understand.
Sure nice to see few if any emotions get involved.
Do you plan on
going to Sun & Fun ?
