I agree with Ken and Ed that it's probably the solenoid.  You could clip a
voltmeter on the solenoid wire, and push the starter button, and see what
you get when it malfunctions.  If you get 12V, with no starter action, it's
the solenoid.  If you don't get 12V, then take a look at your contactor
contacts, or the wires between the contactor and the starter.  Of course you
can always take the starter down to almost any auto parts store and have it
tested for free.  

You're just determined to have all the problems, aren't you :-)
