Legal matters and it's all Rusty's fault by bringing up the Bi-annual thing! Got my medical back last Aug, but everything was out of sink with meds and bi-annuals. No airplane then and had not looked at my logbook in a long time. When Rusty brought it up and I checked my log, it had expired. No problem, just hop on my bike, ride across the field and get Tom Bent to go around the patch in his Decatholon. Well, he was filled up with aerobatic training that day, not available on Sat, but could fly Sunday pm. When I came in from church, gave him a call and he said let's fly at 3 because he needed to rest from morning yard work (he's only 78 and can fly aerobatic students all day long). Back on the bike, across runway to his hangar. Yuk, the cowling is off. He said it would be a down a week because a diaphram in the fuel injector system was Kaput, but if I could get a plane we would go fly. You won't believe the gyrations by insurance companies when you tell them you wish to add a friend with more hours than you wants to get a Bi-annual in your plane. Avemco wanted $180 to add me to Rob Kermanj list. A student with a 150 ,they flat rejected unless I would pay for a background check. Tried calling Jan Bussell who has 6 and 6A that he does transition training for RV'ers. He must be out of town. Finally the student pilot's basic instructor said he would give me a check in his 172 tomorrow if weather permits. I think the airplane is ready to fly. Bernie
