A couple of good questions, one with an easy answer & another that may or may not be easy.
If your plane can't handle grass at all (and it really is 4800 feet; we just haven't gotten around to telling the Friendly Aviation Association) then ground transport to/from HKS will be available. It's only about 10miles by air & ~13 by car. FWIW, we have had a Velocity, a Mitsubishi MU-2, a King Air, etc land (and leave) here safely but tiny nosewheels I can't help you with. Maybe you can figure a way to put the little wheel in back, where it belongs..... ;-) (inside joke among RV'ers)
If your wife likes aviation folks, bring her along. Ken Powell's wife is coming & I expect several others to bring spouses as well. Tupper is already talking about planning something for spouses who aren't interested in nuts & bolts. I'm telling her that they'll have plenty to do just cooking & cleaning for us. (obligatory :-) here) *OUCH* Maybe I should retract that...
I'll post a list of motels soon, but if you can stand 24/7 company we'd love for everyone to just stay here. I intend to call in a few favors with the neighbors so we should be able to accommodate everyone.

Charlie,
I like the idea of a second get together, but i have a
couple of problems.
First, the length is OK, but Cozy's definitely don't
do grass. It' hard to get up to 80 kts to rotate off
of the grass, plus the front gear just isn't made for
anything other than hard surface. I have heard that
Velocities can/have used grass fields, but it's not
good for the Cozy.
Secondly, May 27th is my anniversary, which may or may
not be a problem. We've been married for 33 years, so
I may be able to miss one, who knows. Or she may say
fine, then I pay for it forever too.
I can't commit right now, but I like the idea, and
I'll see what I can do. I's kind of iffy having my 40
hours flown off, so I'd probably have to drive, unless
I can hitch a ride with someone else.

Greetings, fellow rotorheads:
My wife & I would like to host a spring get-together
here at Slobovia Outernational Airport in Jackson MS. Format similar
to Shady Bend with arrivals Friday May 27 & departures Sunday morning,
keeping Memorial Day for our families. Celebrities scheduled to
attend include both Tracy Crook & Ed Anderson so information flow should be
excellent. If you have a rotary related project you would like to talk
about, bring it on; we'll be glad to hear about it.
We've got plenty of sleeping space in the house &
hangars (tent camping is ok too) & we are about 15 miles from I-20/I-55 &
motels for those that need more 'upscale' accommodations. We are
based on a 4800' grass strip that can accommodate even larger canard type
planes for those that want to fly in.
So, what do you guys & gals think? Are you up for
two rotary events this year?
Charlie
