How did you weld the inner baffles to the outside can?

With a fair degree of difficulty. I made the box as a three sided with a lip on each side of the fourth side (to reduce warping), then slid in the coil baffles one at a time and welded them in by spot welding in intervals, before sliding in the next one. To be honest, I had my doubts at first as to my ability to get adequate weld around the circumference of the baffles, however after a little cursing on each one, I feel I had more than succeeded. After all baffles were securely in place, it was a simple matter to weld on the top & ends. While I've not actually used it yet, I'm certain it will hold up. As soon as I receive my 321SS I will weld my pipe and a new muffler. I may try running with this muffler, just to hear how it sounds compared to the smaller one that I propose.
